A community support organization in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Community Support Worker to provide care and support to individuals in staffed homes. The role includes facilitating independence, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with daily living activities. The ideal candidate has a Community Support Worker Diploma, at least 2 years of relevant experience, and effective communication skills. Competitive salary offered.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER
About the role
As our Community Support Worker, you will work as part of a vibrant team to provide care and support to people living in staffed homes within their community. You’ll encourage and empower the people we support to be independent and self-determining and to live the life they envision while maintaining excellent standards of care, health, and safety. Your natural ability to care for others and work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team will allow you to influence your team’s success.
1-2 weekdays evening 5pm-11pm, 1 day shift a week 9:30 am-5pm, alternate Saturday evening shift either 9:40 pm-4 am or 4 pm-11 pm.

On-the-job training: MANDT, JOHS, Diversity and Inclusion, Medication Safety, Confidentiality and Privacy, Trauma-Informed Practice, First Aid and CPR re-certification
