Hourly Compensation Range: $57 - 58/hr

Bayshore Medical Personnel is actively searching for a highly motivated Full-Time Mental Health Registered Nurse with three (3) years of experience to join our team in Comox, BC.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Nurse who is looking for a Monday - Friday career with day shifts only (no nights, no weekends), and who is ready for a rewarding challenge working with a unique patient population!

Our Mental Health Nurses (MHNs) provide services in a primary health care setting, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, care plan development, crisis intervention, counseling, and life skills programming.

A key aspect of this role is to provide counseling in individual and group therapy sessions using CBT, DVT, or motivational interviewing techniques. Candidates should be skilled in bio-psychosocial assessments and medication management from inpatient and outpatient perspectives.

• All Nurses - Mental Health must be Registered Nurses or Registered Psychiatric Nurses.
• Registered Nurses must possess:
• A Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution, with either a certificate in Mental Health Nursing or certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA);
• A Registered Nurse license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association;
• Certificate of Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent, such as CPR/AED Level C. Annual recertification is required.
