We are currently working with a Global Insurance company who are seeking a Broker Sales Consultant within the Private Medical Health sector, reporting into their Kent operation.

You don’t necessarily have to be from a Medical Insurance background, and this role could suit someone from a regulated insurance role, either within a broker or insurance company, or from a sales environment where FCA products are sold.

They are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Sales Consultant to join our collaborative Intermediary Sales team. As a Sales Consultant, you will have great exposure to their Global Intermediary network. You will manage your own portfolio of Intermediaries and Brokers, applying Account Management skills to build and maintain strong relationships in order to sell Global Healthcare insurance policies.

The company has adopted a Hybrid way of working, empowering people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, the team, and their customers. Once you start, there will be an office-based induction period, and after that, you will split your time between working from home and a couple of days in the office per week. This role brings good promotional opportunities and through their in-house training, coaching, and mentoring, you will be fully supported to help you achieve your full potential.

What you'll be doing:

• Selling products designed for high-net-worth individuals and Small to Medium corporates who are looking to expand their business.
• You'll mainly be selling over the phone as well as interaction by E-mail.
• There may also be the need to attend face-to-face meetings with your broker panel to develop and cement any relationships.
• You'll of course have targets to meet and there will be a big focus around developing strong relationships with your Intermediaries and being able to influence and negotiate well, so you will need to be a confident and effective communicator.

Ideal Skill Set/Experience:

• Experience of working within sales and or Account Management is essential.
• Excellent relationship building and negotiating skills are vital.
• Due to the nature of the role, it would be ideal if you have sales experience, preferably from a Financial Services background; however, it’s not essential.
• You’ll have great organisational skills and be able to communicate to individuals at all levels.
• The ability to negotiate and close deals will come as second nature to you.
• In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be able to articulate detailed information at all levels.
