Salary: Up to $50K

Key Responsibilities

• Open new files in our case management system and accounting program.
• Send out initial letters and requests on behalf of the responsible lawyer.
• Ensure that essential information is collected from new clients and recorded in the case management system.
• Help with the overflow of undertakings when required.
• Provide reception relief by answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and mailing documents.
• Assist with administrative duties in the office, such as filing, scanning, and printing.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a post-secondary legal assistant/law clerk program;
• 1+ year(s) experience in a related work environment;
• Capable of performing tasks autonomously and cooperatively in a group setting;
• Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal software; and
• Fluency in English
