Bilingual Marketing and Public Relations Specialist

Position Overview
As the Marketing and PR Specialist, you are a multifaceted individual with strong communication skills, a strategic thinker, a relationship builder, and a team player, and you also have your finger on the pulse of the Quebec region. You will help develop/implement strategies to enhance UNIQLO’s brand and product awareness and help amplify brand buzz. You will assist in creating a 360’ marketing/PR plan to align Canada marketing directions to local needs, with a 60-40 split between Marketing and Public Relations, while working with internal and external partners to identify opportunities and implement a strategy using various media and customer touchpoints. Additionally, you will be responsible for communicating key messages to defined target audiences to grow UNIQLO’s Brand equity in Quebec. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and adapting to a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
- Developing and implementing marketing and PR plans, setting goals and measuring results that in turn build brand awareness and strengthen the positioning of UNIQLO with the market.
- Analyze market trends: staying informed about industry (fashion/retail/shopping) trends and competitor activities.
- Assist with the creation of social content for key seasonal products in Quebec
- Relationship Building - maintain strong relationships with Quebec influencers and key stakeholders. Support within-store, PR and product marketing eventsin Canada and in Quebec
- Identify new customers and growth opportunities in Quebec
- Define and evaluate competitors and UNIQLO’s points of differentiation within the Canadian market and Quebec.
- Propose both short-term and long-term marketing strategy with strong analysis in market opportunity, previous sales history, marketing spending vs. net sales, local trend.
- Localize Canadian Marketing & PR plan to reflect the Quebec region to help local customers to understand the brand, to drive new customers acquisition and to build relationship with Quebec local partners.
- Support with local media partnerships and relationship building with local businesses, content creators and communities.
- Oversee in-store MK and online materials in French Canadian to ensure translation is locally relevant
- Assist with local content creator partnership and product seeding
- Assist in creation of new partnerships and programs to increase UNIQLO’s brand awareness, sales and customer traffic to stores in Quebec
- Responsible for the new stores opening development and execution in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders in Quebec
- Manage agency relationships and conduct briefings for marketing plan development and execution
Desired Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in marketing, business, business management or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in developing and executing marketing campaign & strategy, building social community and partnership with local media
- Understand media landscape in Quebec
- Bilingual in French and English
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
- Previous experience managing a marketing agency is considered an asset
- Must be able to collaborate cross functionally and willing to work in a team-based environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
