Pistachio Cafe is a family-owned-and-operated cafe specializing in gourmet, artisanal gelato and light meals. We believe in serving our food with kindness and are dedicated to ensuring our patrons have a positive experience with us.This summer we are offering table service dinner on our patio from 5-9 pm daily, weather permitting, from late June to September 1. Our outdoor bar will be open daily from 4-10 pm for the same dates as table service.We are looking for friendly, flexible candidates to join the Pistachio family as full-time (preferably) or part-time bartenders – people who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can contribute confidently to a high-energy, people-pleasing team. The bartending involves pouring and serving drinks and bar snacks as well as assisting the server. Previous bartending or serving experience is an asset but not required.Job Responsibilities:

• Taking and fulfilling drink orders from servers (table service) as well as from patrons directly at the bar and tables
• Acting as server as needed (before and after server shifts, or when busy)
• Preparing and serving bar snack items
• Providing an excellent customer service experience for all patrons.
• Overseeing and supporting the servers, trouble-shooting or escalating issues as needed.
• Operating the POS system and processing transactions (handling cash and credit/debit machine, maintaining tabs).
• Taking overall responsibility to ensure the patio tables are maintained (clearing and cleaning tables, emptying trash, helping with dishwasher loading/unloading). The servers may help with this as available.
• Opening & closing duties
• Following food safety standards and alcohol laws

Additional pay: tips from dinner service and the outside bar are kept separate from the cafe tips and shared among servers, bartenders and dinner kitchen staff based on hours worked.Full or part-time hours available We prefer to maintain consistent shifts each week. Shifts may be cancelled due to inclement weather.Contract length: immediately to September 1
