Job summary
A construction company is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer in Surrey. Responsibilities include applying drywall, cutting corner beads, and working at heights. Candidates must have completed secondary education and possess 1-2 years of experience in the field. The position is permanent and requires proficiency in English.
Qualifications
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience required.
Responsibilities
- Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
- Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids.
- Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound.
- Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets.
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound.
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
Education
- Education : Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience : 1 year to less than 2 years

- Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
- Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
