Job summary
A leading construction company in Surrey is seeking a skilled construction worker to read blueprints, prepare layouts, and build various structures. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a high school diploma. This permanent role offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week and requires proficiency in using power tools and supervising workers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Proficiency in building and installation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts according to building codes.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials.

Education
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Supervise other workers
- Utilize hand and power tools
