Temporary Full Time Security Guard

Site: Toyotetsu Canada, 88 Park Rd, Simcoe, ON N3Y 4K6

Hours: Monday to Friday (0700–1500 hrs)

Pay Rate: $18.50/hr.

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is ESA

• Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Toyotetsu and the Security policies and procedures with a customer service approach.
• Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the site\'s diverse community.
• Assist visitors and employees during crises and contact the necessary emergency services as needed.
• Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly.
• Proactively conduct patrols (exterior and interior), address policy breaches, and note facility concerns.
• Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner to avoid panic.
• De-escalate crises, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire and paramedics.
• Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries.
• Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person.
• Maintain positive and constructive relationships with the Client’s staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required.
• Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to directions of the client; Toyotetsu.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the client.

• Valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider.
• English (oral and written) fluency is a must.
• Minimum 1 year security related experience preferred.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Knowledge of relevant Federal, Provincial, Municipal laws and By-laws.
• Position requires the ability to walk/stand/climb stairs for extended periods of time in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB).
• Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin\'s Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to onboarding to ensure they meet the requirements of the position.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
