A leading mechanical engineering firm in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a Mechanical Technician to assist in inspections, design specifications, and supervise maintenance programs. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree and have 3-5 years of relevant experience. This permanent position offers a full-time commitment with a 40-hour work week.
Qualifications
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
Responsabilités
- Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects.
- Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications.
- Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures.
Formation
- Education: Bachelor\'s degree
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Assist in inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects
- Assist in preparing design, drawings and specifications
- Assist in the design of moulds, tools, dies, jigs and fixtures
- Carry out a limited range of mechanical tests and analyses of machines, components and materials
- Design tools, moulds, jigs and fixtures
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings and specifications
- Prepare contracts and tenders
- Prepare standards and schedules
- Supervise maintenance programs or operation of mechanical plants
- Supervise, monitor and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects
- Test machines and equipment
