The role requires a detail-oriented candidate with strong communication and project management skills, who can work onsite in the KW region up to 3 days per week. Relevant IT security certifications are a plus. This hybrid position is contract until the end of the year.

Overview

We are seeking a Security Specialist to join our team and lead the review and implementation of security recommendations from a recent audit. This role requires strong analytical, policy development, and project management skills, along with a hands-on approach to improving our security posture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable managing multiple security initiatives.

This position is hybrid onsite - up to 3 days per week. Contract is until the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Review & Assessment: Analyze findings from a recent security audit to understand risks, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Implementation & Planning: Develop actionable plans based on audit recommendations. Lead the execution of these changes across the organization.
  • Policy Development: Write, update, and implement security policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage and / or support security initiatives and projects from inception to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work cross-functionally with IT, operations, and leadership teams to ensure understanding and compliance with security practices.
  • Security Operations Support: Support other ongoing or emerging security needs as assigned, including incident response, risk assessments, and training efforts.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in IT security, cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks, best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience developing policies and managing security projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in the KW region three days per week.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+) are an asset.
