Job description
Our client is a highly regarded personal injury law firm. Due to expansion, they are currently looking to add an ambitious personal injury lawyer with solid plaintiff personal injury or insurance defense experience.
Your new role
In this new role you will be responsible for drafting a range of documents including facta, opinion letters, settlement conference memoranda, pleadings, and various applications. You will attend examinations for discovery, case conferences, mediations, IBC and other insurance conferences, motions, appeals, pre-trial conferences, trials, and mediations/arbitrations and other hearings at the LAT. You will also work on all aspects of a case including liability, financial and medical investigations.
What you will need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of 5 years’ post-call experience, with demonstrated knowledge and interest in personal injury law. Experience handling mass torts and class action cases is preferred. You should be able to work well under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. Strong teamwork skills, trustworthiness, accountability, proactivity, and a positive work attitude are essential. Additionally, you must have membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
