• Use cleaningmachines to clean carpets, rugs, and upholsteredfurniture on the premises of customers or in carpetand upholstery cleaning businesses.
• Hand tools andindustrial vacuum cleaners can be used to remove soot andcreosote from chimneys and fireplaces.
• Hand tools andindustrial vacuum cleaners are used to clean the ducts, vents,and filters of furnaces in homes and commercialbuildings.
• Sandblasting,pressurized steam, or hydro blasting equipment can be used toclean the exteriors of buildings, tanks, chimneys, andindustrial equipment.
• Interior andexterior windows, as well as other glass surfaces inlow-rise and high-rise buildings, should be washedand cleaned.
• Clean the insideand outside of cars, buses, streetcars, railway cars,and subway cars.

• A high school diplomaor equivalent is preferred.
• Capable of using awide range of cleaning products and equipment.
• Capable of standingfor long periods of time.
• Outstandingorganizational abilities.
• Capable of completingtasks on time with little supervision.
