A national charity focused on environmental sustainability is seeking an Executive Director to lead operations and strategic direction. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in leadership, fundraising, and community engagement. This role involves overseeing programs that address plastic pollution and managing financial resources effectively. The Executive Director will advocate for policy changes and foster partnerships across communities. This position is fully remote within Canada and offers full-time commitment.

Organization: Mind Your Plastic (MYP)
Location: Remote (Canada-wide)
Commitment: Full time, 40 Hours per week
Reports to: Board Chair
Mind Your Plastic is a national charity dedicated to eliminating plastic pollution by working with municipalities, businesses, and educational institutions. We focus on creating lasting partnerships, advocating for policy changes, and engaging communities to achieve our vision of Plastic-Free Land and Seas.
The Executive Director is responsible for the leadership and management of Mind Your Plastic. The Executive Director's main goal is to achieve tangible results by reducing plastic usage and waste through education and awareness-raising that changes behavior and contributes to culture change. This position is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. They will set a long-term vision and elevate the organization's impact and brand awareness locally, nationally and internationally.
