Job summary
A government body in Halton Hills, Ontario is seeking a skilled tradesperson who can read blueprints, work with wood and other materials, and co-ordinate site work. Candidates should have a secondary school graduation certificate and 2 to 3 years of experience in a relevant trade. This position requires on-site work in various environments, including construction and commercial settings, emphasizing accuracy, teamwork, and effective communication. Qualifications
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls.
- Schedule and co‑ordinate work on sites.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures.
