With these broad capabilities, we operate in the power utility, renewable energy, industrial and infrastructure markets.

Location

This position is based in Ontario, Canada, with flexible work arrangements available. Occasional travel to project sites and OPG facilities will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across all engineering functions.
  • Oversee resource planning, team training and development, and performance management for engineering staff.
  • Support proposal development, project planning, and client presentations.
  • Ensure integrated and optimized project delivery through effective coordination across disciplines.
  • Encourage and challenge the engineering team to drive “fit for purpose” solutions while being fully compliant with nuclear codes and standards.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, vendor documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Identify and manage risks, scope changes, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement and collaboration within the engineering organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is required.
  • Active OPG security clearance.
  • Minimum 20 years of engineering experience, with at least 10 years in nuclear projects.

  • Deep understanding of Canadian nuclear codes and standards (e.g., CSA N290, N299, N285).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering analysis tools relevant to each discipline (e.g., ETAP for electrical, FEA for mechanical, structural analysis software).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in nuclear environments.
Other Requirements
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
