This role demands extensive field experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in remote environments. • Prioritize safety while delivering results under challenging conditions and tight timelines.
  • Maintain detailed service records and prepare accurate documentation for each job.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to assess equipment condition and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand issues, set expectations, and provide updates.
  • Collaborate with parts and service departments to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
  • Provide emergency breakdown support, including nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle.
  • Represent the company professionally while on customer sites.
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving equipment technologies.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and resilience in adverse weather, remote locations, and variable workloads.
Qualifications
  • You possess 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field Service experience is strongly preferred).
  • Provincially Recognized Heavy Equipment Certification is strongly preferred - 421A or Red Seal.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Northwestern Ontario, including remote, off-grid locations.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical components.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange, repair and warranty related activities.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
  • You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone, unsupervised for extended periods of time.
  • Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
