Job summary
A leading virtual work company is seeking a Sr. Counsel - Privacy to develop risk-based privacy strategies and ensure compliance with privacy regulations. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. degree, over 8 years of relevant legal experience, and expertise in global privacy issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead privacy risk assessments and collaborate with internal teams on critical privacy initiatives.
Qualifications
- Must hold a J.D. degree and be a member of a state bar in good standing.
- Requires 8+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house.
- Experience with global privacy issues across various jurisdictions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement privacy strategies with internal teams.
- Evaluate privacy legislation and guide business teams.
- Lead privacy risk assessments and design compliance programs.

- Evaluate privacy-related legislative and regulatory developments and provide guidance to business teams
- Lead privacy risk assessments and design global privacy compliance programs
- J.D. degree and membership in a state bar with good standing (or foreign equivalent)
- 8+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably as in-house counsel
- Experience advising on global privacy issues across multiple jurisdictions
- Background working with regulators and responding to regulatory inquiries
- Established ability to manage multiple projects and build consensus across teams
