Overview

Senior Compensation Manager, Incentive Compensation

Parsons is seeking a Senior Compensation Manager, Incentive Compensation to take end-to-end ownership of our cash incentive programs, stock incentive plans, and overall equity administration—including the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP). This role also serves as the primary point of contact for incentive compensation audit requests directed to the Compensation Team.

The ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a strong background in administering cash incentive programs, Proxy CD&A compensation and pay versus performance tables. This position requires a self-directed, ambitious individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and collaborates effectively across cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. The role offers a mix of recurring responsibilities and initiative-driven projects.

As part of a high-performing team of human resources professionals, you will lead through influence, collaboration, and expertise. Reporting to the Director of Compensation, this role is fully remote/virtual.

Responsibilities
  • Incentive Program Ownership:
    • Manage the full lifecycle of cash-based incentive programs (STI and deferral) and stock-based incentive programs (LTI and ESPP).
    • Actively lead and mentor a team of two compensation professionals.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive alignment, consistency, and excellence in program delivery.
    • Provide technical expertise to identify, assess, and execute ongoing program and process improvements.
  • Communication & Reporting:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans to ensure leaders are aligned and equipped to engage program participants effectively.
    • Create accurate tracking, reporting, and forecasting solutions for all incentive programs.
    • Conduct regular audits and validations with key stakeholders to ensure program accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaboration & Issue Resolution:
    • Partner with finance and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely forecasting, reporting, and payments.
    • Address and resolve escalated participant questions or issues related to incentive plans promptly and accurately.
  • Technical Oversight:
    • Partner with HRIT to translate business and operational needs into system requirements (Workday), oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), and ensure leadership alignment on decisions and recommendations.
  • Additional Contributions:
    • Serve as a key contributor to Parsons’ Proxy Compensation & Discussion Analysis compensation and pay versus performance tables, and various Committee / Board materials.
    • Respond to and manage audit requests from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring proper delegation within the Compensation Team.
    • Lead or provide consultation on incentive compensation-related project initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of related experience in incentive compensation, including some experience managing a team.
    • Industry experience in defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure is preferred.
  • Technical & Analytical Skills:
    • Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to understand broader concepts and communicate persuasively with HR and business leaders.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Preferred experience with Workday.
  • Interpersonal & Leadership Skills:
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
    • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships across an organization.
    • Strong professionalism, personal accountability, and resilience, with the ability to work effectively under pressure in a demanding environment.
    • Demonstrated integrity, objectivity, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Certifications:
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred, or progress toward CCP certification.

Salary Range: $108,700.00 - $190,200.00
