Imagine a future where people living with lung cancer have a fighting chance. Where no one loses a loved one to asthma. Where people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) live life to the fullest. Where older adults maintain their independence. And where future generations are spared the debilitating effects of lung disease.
At the Lung Health Foundation (LHF), we’re committed to making that future a reality—starting now.
At the core of our mission? Helping those impacted by lung disease.
The Certified Respiratory Educator (CRE) supports the work of the LHF in delivering programs and services that improve the health of people living with lung disease, as well as in promoting initiatives that help prevent lung disease in the broader community. The CRE plays a significant role in bringing clinical experience and expertise to deliver on the LHF’s mission. Specifically, this role will assist in delivering the Lung Health Coach program, an evidence-based, person-centered COPD self-management and education program, co-facilitate the lung health support group meetings and review clinical content including tools, education, and messages.
Given the clinical nature of LHF’s programs and services, this position requires a licensed provider with, or willing to get, a CRE designation.
It’s an exciting time at the LHF where the team of Lung Health Coaches, together with the Community Programs and Partnerships team, is creating an inclusive proactive approach to welcome people in and provide them with the programs, resources and linkages that they need to be supported along their lung health journey.
At LHF, we are committed to equity and inclusion in everything we do. The CRE will integrate these by:
