Job summary
A technology services company is looking for a SharePoint Analyst to manage content transfers involving SharePoint and ECM systems. This role will require strong skills in Windows OS, SharePoint 2016/Online, and scripting. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in SharePoint projects and be able to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. The position offers remote work with occasional onsite meetings in Alberta.

Job Title: SharePoint Analyst - Intermediate (SPAI_ST_HR)
Location: Edmonton, Alberta (Remote with occasional onsite meetings)
Reporting to the Manager, Content and Collaboration Services (CCS), the SharePoint Analyst will perform content transfers of unstructured data between Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems (primarily SharePoint, but may include OpenText Content Server, Documentum, and shared drives). The role focuses on resolving Government restructuring backlogs and addressing critical litigation requests. The analyst will manage multiple simultaneous transfers, ensuring compliance with departmental policies, corporate standards, and IT best practices.
- Execute content transfers, including mapping, transformation, loading, and testing of scripts or supporting applications.
- Collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to understand transfer requirements, timelines, and processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Provide guidance on ECM solutions, SharePoint, and shared drives to business partners.
- Develop and run scripts, workflows, and logging tools to support content transfers.
- Ensure secure file handling and integrity verification.
- Participate in backlog creation, work estimation, and prioritization.
- Follow IT Change and Communication Management processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, command-line operations, batch scripting, and file operations.
- Experience with SharePoint 2016 and SharePoint Online, including lists, document sets, security structures, content types, and metadata.

- Education in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
