Type: Full-time
Location: CNRL Horizon
Schedule: 7x7 – Day Shift
Bouchier is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for our CNRL Horizon site to support the HVAC department with preventative maintenance activities.
Reporting to the Superintendent and General Foreman, this role involves performing detailed inspections, testing, and servicing of electrical components associated with HVAC equipment, such as motors starters, VFDs, control panels, sensors, power distribution equipment, and wiring.
The electrician will assist with identifying early signs of electrical degradation, verifying proper voltage and amperage levels, tightening and replacing electrical terminations, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. Responsibilities include both indoor and outdoor assignments as directed by supervision, while maintaining strict adherence to safety practices and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
Collaboration is a key component of this role. The successful candidate will work closely with an HVAC technician to document system conditions, identify operational issues, and recommend corrective actions. The electrician’s expertise ensures that HVAC equipment receives proper electrical supply, that controls and safety are functioning correctly, and that preventative maintenance tasks are completed accurately and thoroughly. This position contributes to smoother service visits, improved safety outcomes, and enhanced reliability of HVAC systems across the facility.
