Job description
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Casualty Adjuster to join our inside claims team to work remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will be responsible for evaluating commercial auto and property claims through loss investigation and negotiating settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.

  1. Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
  2. Evaluate coverage, liability, and quantum
  3. Negotiate, settle, and finalize claims
  4. Accurate recording, reporting, and presentation of files
  5. Maintain accurate billing, and time and expense records
  6. Work with manager to maintain client relations

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of technical claims handling experience in commercial auto and property claims
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is an asset
  • CIP designation or working towards CIP designation is required
  • Licensed as an Independent Adjuster with the ability to maintain a full adjusting license in your home province; multiple provincial licenses are preferred
  • Strong computer and reporting skills, including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with PC applications and application-based skills
  • Complete continuing education courses as required by Crawford and Company, your province, or professional trade associations
