Salary: $65,000 - $80,000

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with a focus on WoodGreen's healthcare portfolio, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in partnering with programs to drive innovative financial modelling, operational efficiencies, insightful data analytics, and key management and financial regulatory reporting.

1. Manage and oversee a portfolio of healthcare programs, collaborating with program managers to ensure budget adherence and providing actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency.
2. Take ownership of the monthly forecasting process, working with program managers to address significant deviations from budget and communicate significant variances to finance leadership.
3. Create detailed monthly financial dashboards to share with program managers to convey key financial results and insights.
4. Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring financial accuracy and transparency.
5. Oversee month-end close processes, working with a team to prepare, post necessary journal entries, and review to ensure program financial data has been completely and accurately captured.
6. Lead the annual budgeting process for the program portfolio, working with program managers and leveraging program expertise to prepare detailed and actionable annual program budgets.
7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies in financial reporting.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data, analyze trends, and provide insights for informed decision-making.
9. Monitor procurement spend, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
10. Prepare financial reports and presentations for leadership and board members, conveying key insights and recommendations.
11. Collaborate with the Senior Manager of FP&A to prepare ad-hoc analyses, providing insights on an as-needed basis.
12. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA designation preferred or on-route to CPA qualification.
• 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, internal audit, external audit, and/or professional services experience.
• Advanced experience using MS Excel (financial and data functions).
• Familiarity with PowerBI is an asset.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial standards (experience with Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations is an asset), and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools and accounting software.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strategic thinker with the capability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
