Finance Officer Job Summary

The Finance Officer is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial information for the organization. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and provides support to the finance team in the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans. The successful candidate will also analyze financial reports, prepare budgets, and handle monthly financial reconciliation.

Finance Officer Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Prepare and analyze budget reports to ensure accuracy of information
  • Develop and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Provide financial advice and support to other departments
  • Prepare and present financial reports to management
  • Liaise with auditors and other external contacts as required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans
Finance Officer Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a finance-related role preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and proceduresStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
