About The Role

Bosa Properties is looking for an Accountant to join our Investment Accounting team of talented professionals. The Investment Accounting team's portfolio includes the management of all partner and joint venture entities along with the management of investments in other operating companies and capital placements outside of real estate. This individual will have a unique opportunity to gain experience in various areas of the department while working with seasoned professionals. The Investment accounting team works to provide timely and meaningful financial insights to enable the business to analyze performance and make data-driven decisions.

What You'll Do

1. Reviewing and reconciling trial balances for assigned investment entities;
2. Tracking and reviewing monthly sales and providing variance reports to management;
3. Creating budgets and forecasts for company managers;
4. Analyzing cost discrepancies and creating reports for management to help make investment decisions;
5. Reviewing gross margin and net income for assigned portfolios monthly;
6. Recording accruals, adjustments, and amortization;
7. Creating templates to track and record sales efficiently;
8. Support the preparation of documents for external audits, including responding to auditor inquiries and requests;
9. Support the monthly management reporting processes by preparing assigned schedules;
10. Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve reporting accuracy;
11. Collaborate with other finance and accounting team members to ensure cohesive and efficient operations;
12. Additional tasks may be assigned based on capacity and aptitude.

What You Bring

1. Post secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field;
2. Actively working towards a CPA designation;
3. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;
4. Fundamental understanding of accounting principles, practices and consolidation procedures;
5. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities and tasks;
6. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, building strong relationships across the organization;
7. Strong attention to detail, demonstrated through accuracy in data entry;
8. Proven ability to proactively adapt to changing priorities and processes;
9. Experience with Yardi Voyager considered an asset.

Our salary ranges and bonus percentages are determined by job family and level. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, education and training, years of relevant experience, and internal equity.

Salary

$61,100-$84,000 CAD
