As a Senior Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services your responsibilities will include:

1. Reconcile data from 3rd party applications such as Dext, Wagepoint, Plooto, etc.
2. Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements in QuickBooks Online
3. Reconcile and review sales data
4. Review accounts receivable/accounts payable and process using 3rd party applications
5. Reconcile Monthly Vendor Statements
6. Review payroll time entries and process payroll
7. Run GST/HST/PST reports, review audit trail and file reports with CRA
8. Prepare T4 returns
9. Set up client files, assist with the completion of budgets and complete administrative planning and other aspects of cloud bookkeeping work
10. Perform/assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
11. Experience with prepaids, amortization and intercompany transactions preferred
12. Perform basic financial analysis
13. Prepare basic analytical reports and cash flow statements
14. Participate in client discovery calls
15. Collaborate with clients on a regular basis
16. Train and mentor junior colleagues

Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Senior Accountant, Cloud Accounting Services? Like the colour purple? Great. Here's a few more boxes we’re also hoping you can tick:

1. A passion for technology and innovative thinking
2. Associate degree in business/accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent
3. 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
4. QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification required
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
6. Experience working independently and as a team on engagements, monitoring tasks, and deadlines
7. Attention to Detail
8. Ability to create macros and/or VB scripts in Microsoft Excel preferred

At Doane Grant Thornton, we’re committed to ensuring our compensation practices are fair, equitable and competitive. To get the conversation started, we’re happy to share that our current base salary for this role ranges from $46,000 - $63,000 in Prince George, BC. If this role is available in another location(s), the associated salary range in that location(s) may vary based on relevant factors, including geography.
