Responsibilities
- Attend Cellblocks to assist with referrals to the VODP
- Administer medicine as directed by the VODP team including Intravenous medicine
- Assist with calls for police and or paramedic service where opioids/addiction are involved.
- Patrol and interact with community members to pro-actively make referrals to the VODP.
- Make follow-up contact with VODP clients to assist with programming and case management
- Provide bi-monthly metrics reports.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Alberta College of Paramedics
- Valid ACLS certification
- Experience dealing with mental health and addictions
- Must successfully pass an enhanced security clearance
