The City of Dauphin, a vibrant community in Manitoba’s Parkland region, neighboring Riding Mountain National Park, has an opening for a full-time, in-scope position of Utility Operator 4. In this position you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater facilities in Dauphin, Manitoba.

The Person:

The City of Dauphin is looking for a highly skilled, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who can perform the duties of this position with a high level of professionalism and efficiency. The following skills and assets will be required in the selection of a suitable candidate:

  • Grade 12 and minimum two-years’ post-secondary education in water and wastewater, environmental science, or related field.
  • Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical aptitude.
  • Proficiency working in a computerized environment (SCADA, Windows, MS Office).
  • Class 5 driver’s license.
  • Provincial Water and Wastewater Operator Certification as follows; Water Treatment IV, Wastewater Treatment II, Water Distribution II, and Wastewater Collection II.

Candidates displaying the proper character and willingness to achieve the required qualifications may also be considered.

The City of Dauphin offers a competitive wage and benefits package, as contained in its Collective Agreement with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) – Local 857.
