Qualifications:
- Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists (in good standing)
- Accepting new graduates
- 1-3 years of experience is an asset
- Experience with clients with physical, mental health, or neurological conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience supporting occupational rehabilitation is a strong asset
- Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSIB referrals is a strong asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Educating clients on pacing, pain management, cognitive strategies, and task modification
- Collaborating with physiotherapists, kinesiologists, psychotherapists, physicians, and psychologists
- Participating in case conferences and case management
- Supporting return-to-work programs
- Using e-charting software for documentation and timely report submission
- Managing caseload in a fast-paced environment
