Project Director - Industrial Buildings

We are excited to partner with one of North America’s most diversified and respected construction companies, renowned for its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and community impact to find their Project Director – Industrial Buildings.

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects. This role requires expertise in managing new construction projects from start to finish, with a focus on design-build and construction management delivery models. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality industrial projects on time and within budget while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial construction projects, including 1M+ sq. ft. warehouses and similar facilities.
• Manage all phases of construction, from pre-construction planning through to project completion and handover.
• Lead design-build and construction management delivery models, ensuring alignment with client objectives and project goals.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless project execution.
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful outcomes.
• Implement best practices in safety, quality assurance, and risk management throughout all project phases.
• Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
• Monitor performance metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial construction project management with a focus on large-scale new builds.
• Proven expertise in delivering 1M+ sq. ft. warehouse projects or similar large-scale industrial facilities from start to finish.
• Strong knowledge of design-build and construction management delivery models as well as other delivery formats.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively across multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).
• Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to build relationships with clients and partners.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred; PMP certification is an asset.
