Job description

The Whitecaps FC mission is To Unite and Inspire Our Communities. We are looking for new team members to

contribute to the Vancouver Whitecaps culture by understanding and supporting our four cornerstones: team

spirit, discipline, work ethic and mentality.

The members of the Caps’ Crew Team are an integral part of the Whitecaps FC matchday experience. Members

will work at Vancouver Whitecaps FC home matches at BC Place with the opportunity to engage at other club

events including WFC2 matches and external events. Applicants must be available for a minimum of fifteen (15) First Team matches over the course of the 2026 season.

Available Positions & Responsibilities:
  • Activation Team
    • Serve as a brand ambassador focused on delivering memorable fan moments at Whitecaps FC home matches.
    • Support the set-up, execution, and teardown of all in-match promotions and game-day activations
    • Actively engage fans during pre-match, in-match, and post-match moments to help create an exciting, inclusive stadium atmosphere
    • Bring energy and personality as on-field and in-stand entertainers through cheering, crowd engagement, dance, and interactive skits
    • Communicate and collaborate with fans, staff, and partners in a positive, professional manner
    • Actively participate in pre-match rehearsals and meetings to gain a clear understanding of matchday expectations.
  • Kickin’ with the ‘Caps Supervisor
    • Supervise the Kickin’ with the ‘Caps participants every match, from registration to pick-up post-experience. Participants range from 5-16 years old
    • Previous experience in childcare and CPR Certification is an asset
  • Stretcher Bearer
    • Under direction from appropriate medical personnel, transfer player onto stretcher, and carry them off the pitch
  • Accreditation Staff
    • Work with security at staff and media entrances to ensure only verified personnel are granted access to the stadium on match days
    • Provide directional information to new staff or activation guests upon arrival.
  • Red Hat / Director’s Spotter
    • Communicate anything of interest that occurs live during the match including substitutions, penalties or ejection to the 4th officials and/ or the Presentation team
  • Photo Marshall & Quote Taker
    • Act as the Club’s moderators for media members operating on field level
    • Gather the reactions of coaches and players from both teams

• All positions include additional duties under the guidance of the Events & Fan Experience team.

Qualifications/Experience:

In addition to bringing a commitment to Vancouver Whitecaps FC vision and values, the ideal candidate will require a broad base of management knowledge with degrees of demonstrated experience as follows:

  • Applicants must be of 18 years of age or older
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Confident, articulate and enthusiastic
  • A focus in service excellence- willingness to go the ‘extra mile’
  • An interest in a media or sports management career is an asset
  • Must be available for a minimum of fifteen (15) First Team matches over the course of the 2026 season
  • Required to arrive at the stadium hours before kickoff and staying throughout the match (up to an 8-hour shift)
