Ce qu’il sera attendu de vous :
Relevant du gestionnaire du groupe RF Design et Validation de Composant, vous serez un acteur clé de l'équipe de composants photoniques à haute vitesse (HSPC). Vous ferez partie d’une équipe pluridisciplinaire développant des solutions d’encapsulation novatrices pour produits de télécommunication visant des marchés à fort volumes. Travaillant sur des produits complexes, vous serez amené à converger sur des solutions prenant en compte les limitations de fabrication, les propriétés des matériaux ainsi que les principaux critères de performance.

Dans ce rôle, vous devrez interagir étroitement avec les autres membres du groupe HSPC et d'autres groupes R&D internes. Cet environnement à la fine pointe de la technologie et œuvrant à concevoir les produits optiques les plus performants au monde saura vous motiver et vous garder à l’avant plan.

• Développer une très bonne connaissance des composants photoniques de Ciena afin de développer des solutions en optique intégrée pour applications à fort volume.
• Travailler avec les autres équipes pour élaborer et mettre en œuvre des solutions à hautes vitesse et de haute densité pour une variété de produits en utilisant des matériaux organiques et non-organiques.
• Participer et organiser les revues de conception, assurer la documentation et le suivi de projet.

Exigences :

• Vous possédez un baccalauréat en génie physique ou dans une discipline connexe avec un minimum de 4années d’expérience dans un environnement technologique et de développement de produits.
• Joueur d’équipe avec une facilité à bâtir des relations solides dans un environnement multidisciplinaire;
• Vous possédez de la rigueur, êtes structuré et organisé, avez le sens de l’initiative et possédez un fort désir d’innover et de résoudre les problèmes; Habilité à communiquer de façon claire (esprit de synthèse), proactive et en mode solution;

Atouts:

De l’expérience et/ou des connaissances dans les domaines suivants sont des atouts :

• Conception en optique intégrée sur silicium
• Conception de circuit analogique à faible bruit ainsi que de fonction numérique de base
• Compétence de base en programmation scientifique sur MatLab et/ou Python

How You Will Contribute:
Reporting to the manager of RF Design and Component Validation, you will be a key player of the High-Speed Photonic Component (HSPC) team. More specifically, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team implementing innovative photonic integration solutions. Working on complex products, you will need to converge on solutions understanding manufacturing limitations, material properties and performances key factors.

In this role, you will have to interact closely with other members of the HSPC group and other internal R&D groups. This state-of-the-art environment, working to design the most efficient optical products in the world, will motivate you and keep you at the forefront of technology.

• Develop a clear understanding of Ciena’s integrated photonic components to implement innovative integration technology for high volume application.
• Collaborate with the photonic design team to create high density and high-speed integration solutions for the various products using organic and non-organic materials.

The Must Haves:

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a technology and product development environment.
• Team player with the ability to develop strong relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment. Be rigorous, well organized and structured, have sense of initiative and a strong desire for innovation and problem solving.

The Assets:

Experience and/or knowledge in some of the following fields is an asset:

• Integrated silicon photonic design
• Electronic design of low noise analog functions as well as basic digital functions
• Basic programming skills in MatLab/Python

Pay Range:

The annual salary range for this position is $78,900 - $126,100.

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.

Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
