Job summary
A regional healthcare authority is seeking a Core Laboratory Technologist who will perform established laboratory procedures, including hematology, chemistry, and transfusion medicine. Candidates must have CSMLS certification and graduation from a diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology. Skills should include effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. This position emphasizes patient and staff safety while ensuring the provision of high-quality laboratory services.
Qualifications
- Certification from the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science is required.
- Graduation from a recognized diploma program in Medical Laboratory Technology is necessary.
- One year of recent experience in the core laboratory section is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform established laboratory procedures in hematology, chemistry and transfusion medicine.
- Ensure quality and safety in all aspects of laboratory work.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
