Job summary

A leading laboratory services provider is seeking a Seasonal Laboratory Technician for their Thunder Bay location. This entry-level position requires a degree in Science and offers a rotational schedule of four days on and four days off, with possible night shift availability. The technician will assist with laboratory tasks, maintain instruments, and ensure quality control. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, be fluent in English, and possess intermediate computer skills. The position ends on February 17th, 2026.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sample reagent and calibration preparation as directed.
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain, troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
  • Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
  • Meet quality assurance and turnaround specifications.
  • Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report results.

Job Overview

Seasonal Laboratory Technician – Thunder Bay location. Entry-level position working under the Laboratory Supervisor to assist with laboratory tasks and reporting of data. The schedule is a four-day on, four-day off rotational schedule with the possibility of night shift availability. This position will end on February 17th, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sample reagent and calibration preparation as directed.
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance on all assigned laboratory instruments.
  • Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
  • Meet quality assurance and turnaround specifications.
  • Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Degree or diploma in Science or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-2 years laboratory experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
