The Crowsnest Pass laboratory is located within the Blairmore Health Care Center and serves the town of Blairmore as well as the surrounding towns of Bellevue, Coleman, Hillcrest and Frank which comprise the Crowsnest Pass. Description

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter‑professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X‑ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.

Required Qualifications

Completion of diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT). Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT).

Additional Required Qualifications

Strong communication and multi-tasking skills are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Recent phlebotomy and rural experience are an asset.
