This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, preparation, and delivery of prescriptions. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patients' needs, counseling patients with appropriate documentation, and providing friendly, positive, and proactive interactions with all customers are key responsibilities. Additionally, creating awareness and educating customers through public relations activities is essential.

What you'll do

• Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely for patients
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of medications and over-the-counter supplements to meet patients' needs
• Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly and proactive manner
• Create awareness and educate customers through public health initiatives (public health days, clinics, etc.)
• Provide timely and positive resolutions to patient needs and doctors' requests/issues
• Review and control costs within the Loblaw Pharmacy dispensary
• Provide ongoing training for all pharmacy staff, including technicians, interns, students, and IPGs

What you'll need :

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a valid Class A Pharmacist license
• Superior customer service skills and a strong sense of professionalism
• Excellent leadership and performance management skills
• Proven ability to build business using community-based marketing strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, including experience in formulating and executing action plans
• Strong personal computing skills and knowledge of Healthwatch Pharmacy systems is an asset
