Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise kitchen operations, ensuring all tasks are in adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Coordinate with the Kitchen Management team to schedule shifts, allocate tasks, and manage kitchen workflow efficiently.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership and support, including training and mentoring new staff, and promoting a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Actively participate in daily kitchen activities by coordinating food production, supervising line stations, and expediting to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist in overseeing inventory levels, including ordering supplies and managing stock to support uninterrupted kitchen operations.
  • Conduct regular checks on food safety and hygiene practices, maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Support in implementing new recipes and menu items, ensuring consistency and excellence.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a back‑of‑house supervisory role in a high‑volume, upscale restaurant setting.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking techniques, and leadership.
  • Proven experience in supervising and training kitchen staff, with a focus on effective communication and team development.
  • Ability to manage inventory and supplies, with basic financial acumen related to kitchen operations.
