Candidates should have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and a minimum of 4 years of experience in hydrogen or related industries. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in engineering software tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and the ability to work independently in a safety-sensitive environment. A valid BC driver's license is necessary, and candidates may face pre-employment testing.
Powertech Labs, a global leader in clean energy solutions and a subsidiary of BC Hydro, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Hydrogen Infrastructure team. We design and build advanced hydrogen refueling stations, compressed hydrogen systems, and energy transition technologies. We are industry leaders in designing, building, and operating advanced compressed hydrogen refueling solutions, including stations, lightweight tube trailers, and certification equipment. Our team pioneered turnkey containerized fueling stations, introducing the world’s first 700-bar fast-fill station and the first capable of fueling four vehicles simultaneously.
As a Project Engineer, you will manage hydrogen infrastructure projects from concept to completion. This includes coordinating across mechanical, process, and electrical disciplines to deliver innovative solutions. Your responsibilities will span project management, system specification, analysis, testing, integration, troubleshooting, and preparing technical documentation.
