Job Description

TheEquipment Warehouse Labourer /Driveris required to perform tasks involving physical labour at our area Tool and Equipment Yard and commercial construction projects. The Equipment Warehouse labourer / Driver is required to assist with Cleaning tools and equipment,, maintaining an organized warehouse and yard, and delivery of tools, material and small equipment to Chandos Construction Job sites.

• Knowledge and use of tools, equipment and materials such as jack hammers, drills, pumps, compressors, and power tools
• Pick orders as required through Tool Request Forms, or walk-in and phone-in requests
• Load, unload and identify tools and equipment and distribute them to the appropriate locations within the warehouse
• Complete outgoing and incoming inspections of equipment
• Responsible for general housekeeping in the warehouse, storage yard and external yard/shop

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract is required
• Experience in operation of larger vehicles and securing loads is an asset
• Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools
• Knowledge of workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling procedures
• Familiar with driving in the city
• Able to operate required trucks and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Requires ability to climb ladders and lift heavy objects
