A regional healthcare organization in Sheet Harbour is looking for a Utility Worker to maintain the cleanliness of the hospital. The role includes tasks like cleaning, mopping, floor care, and waste removal. The position requires Grade 12/GED, effective communication skills, and preference for cleaning experience. This is a casual relief role with hourly shifts offered.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, the Utility Worker maintains the cleanliness of the hospital. Activities include cleaning, mopping and dusting all areas in the hospital. Other work would include floor care (scrubbing and waxing floors), shampooing of carpets and chairs, waste removal (hazardous waste and regular waste), chemical spill cleanup, laundry tasks, room set-ups, window cleaning (interior), some salt application during winter months, isolation room cleaning, flood and bloodspill clean ups.
