A prominent transit organization in Victoria is seeking a Transit Planning Coordinator for a 10-month temporary role. The successful candidate will assist in transportation planning, establish partnerships, and support various related activities. Ideal applicants should possess a post-secondary degree in urban geography or transportation planning, along with relevant experience in transit operations. Monthly Salary Range: MoveUp Group 08, MIN $5,419.00 - MAX $6,497.00 is available through annual general wage/step increases.
Recruitment Range: MIN $5,419 – STEP 3 $6,008.
Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In exceptional cases, candidates may be hired above the recruitment range, provided agreement is reached with the Union.

Reporting to the Manager, Service Planning, the Transit Planning Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Branch by assisting in all aspects of transportation planning and related activities. The Transit Coordinator will establish working relationships with BC Transit staff and external partners to coordinate activities, exchange information and build knowledge and technical expertise in the planning field.
