Location: Oshawa, ON, CA, L1H 8W8

Status: Contract (4 or 8 Months)

Working Conditions: On-site

Education Level: University or College, minimum 1st year completed

Base Location: Durham and Toronto (Darlington, Toronto)

Shifts: Days

Travel: 10%

Salary Range: $32.17 - $40.37 per hour

JOB OVERVIEW

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results‑driven professional to join our team as a Summer 2026 Co‑Op Student.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Contribute to real‑world projects that align with your field of study and career interests.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support project goals and deliverables.
  • Apply classroom knowledge to practical, hands‑on work assignments.
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes relevant to the industry.
  • Assist with day‑to‑day tasks and ensure smooth operations within your assigned department.
  • Take ownership of delegated responsibilities and deliver quality results.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, mentors, and stakeholders.
  • Engage in mentorship opportunities to gain insights and guidance from experienced professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently enrolled as a full‑time, post‑secondary student in a recognized institution, pursuing one of the following areas of study:
  • Emergency Management
  • Law Enforcement
  • Police Foundations
  • Criminology / Advanced Law
  • Have completed a minimum of 1st year in college or an undergraduate program at university by the start of the opportunity.
  • Returning to full‑time studies in the same program following the completion of the work term or require the work term or co‑op placement to graduate.
  • Have a minimum average of 70% cumulative GPA (transcript must be included in application).
