Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations with a strong presence on the floor setting the tone for exceptional service
- Communicate the vision clearly to your team and inspire them by upholding Oliver & Bonacini's values every day
- Monitor and maintain all points of technical service and attention to detail to ensure outstanding guest experiences
- Build and nurture relationships with guests team members management vendors and suppliers
- Follow bar beverage and wine control procedures with accuracy and consistency
- Foster a culture focused on the enjoyment and quality of food beverage and service
- Demonstrate integrity and professionalism promoting the venues reputation at every opportunity
- Lead recruitment training coaching performance management and employee development initiatives
- Use strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to maintain a positive work environment
- Assist with sales tracking invoicing and inventory management to support smooth operations
- Conduct event briefings with service staff to ensure flawless execution
- Manage scheduling of event staff to guarantee proper coverage for all functions
- Oversee payroll accuracy and timely record-keeping
- Drive staff productivity and operational efficiency through continuous improvement
- Participate in health & safety programs ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Ensure the venue is impeccably maintained clean and in excellent repair
- Build strong partnerships with vendors and suppliers
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Minimum of 23 years experience managing the day-of operations for a variety of events including small large and high-profile functions (this is focused on event execution not sales)
- Valid Smart Serve Certification
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally with strong verbal and written skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large and variable workload ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks
- Strong business acumen with a team-oriented mindset
- WSET 1 Wine Certificate or equivalent considered a strong asset
- Availability to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
