Who you are

Geotab is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Planning & Forecasting who will provide financial analysis and assist leaders to make data-informed decisions, mitigate financial risk and stay on budget. What you’ll do
  • Plan, forecast and develop departmental budgets across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support close collaboration with senior leaders of cross-functional teams.
  • Coordinate long-term planning to meet organizational requirements.
  • Work closely with data analytics FDA / DNA teams to develop dashboards, reporting mechanisms and financial analytics to provide timely and insightful financial information to senior management and board members.
  • Understand business needs, deliver high quality service, and apply different communication strategies.
  • Demonstrate excellent conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
How you’ll make an impact
  • Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes for the organization, developing accurate financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage the departmental budgeting process, collaborating with key stakeholders to establish realistic financial targets and track performance against budgets.
  • Collaborate with the data analytics FDA / DNA teams to develop dashboards and financial analytics for senior management and board members.
  • Lead financial analysis and risk assessments, identifying opportunities and challenges and recommending actions to optimize financial performance and mitigate risk.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME), mentoring other financial team members and promoting best practices in budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
  • Monitor, forecast, analyze and report on in-year variances to budget; advise on accruals and year-end adjustments; provide data and analysis to internal and external auditors.
  • Deliver long-term forecasting analysis (6 months – 2+ years out) across all divisions for Senior Leadership, Project Owners and Financial Budget reviews.
What you’ll bring to the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or another quantitative discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be substituted.
  • 5-8 years of experience building and maintaining organizational budgets and financial planning analysis (FPA).
  • Experience presenting to c-suite and senior-level leaders.
  • Strong business acumen.
