About the role

We are looking to hire a Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler for a full-time permanent day shift position. In this role, you will report directly to our Production Manager and be responsible for producing high-quality products. This hands-on position allows you to work independently and allows you to demonstrate your skills. As part of a small team of technical experts, you must be dedicated, an effective communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This role is a great opportunity to develop your skills and grow in other areas within RBR.

What you’ll do
  • Build high-quality electromechanical assemblies
  • Read through process documentation, bills of materials (BOM), drawings and electrical schematics to ensure accurate assembly of our products
  • Perform high-quality soldering using soldering tools, microscope, and other equipment
  • Collaborate within a fast-paced team environment to drive process improvements and cross-training initiatives.
  • Support NPI (New product Introduction) initiatives by participating in the builds, and contribute to the design for manufacturing (DFM) initiatives
  • Support cross training for junior members of the Production team.
  • Investigate root cause of failures, report findings and document corrective action in related Jira’s
What you bring
  • 4-6 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical and electronics assembly experience
  • Highly competent in the use of assembly tools, crimping tools, automated equipment, and multimeters, with strong hand-eye coordination for small, sensitive components
  • Must have strong computer skills, along with the capacity to learn various programs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Demonstrated experience with fine soldering and high-precision work
  • Certified Technician (CTech) or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Well-organized, team player with good communication skills
  • IPC-A-610 certification would be a strong preference
  • Experience in working with optics is preferred
