Overview

We're looking for an individual with mental health knowledge and experience in organizing data to join our team in Health Care Programs. As a Psychology Assessment Coordinator you'll assist the Psychology Assessment Services team with administration aspects of the referral placement process for clients to be scheduled with the appropriate clinical service providers. You'll analyze data from the placement process to support improvements in program efficiency. If you have an interest in mental health topics and have experience in gathering and analyzing information, we'd like to hear from you.

You’ll ensure we offer effective and evidence-based access to programs and services to help people recover when they've been injured at work.

Where you'll work

At WorkSafeBC, we currently offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices, based on the operational needs of the position. This Psychology Assessment Coordinator position is a temporary assignment of approximately twelve months.

What you’ll do
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Care Programs mental health team, Registration Representatives, and claims staff to support clients' timely referral placement to appropriate service providers
  • Review and identify referrals with known risk factors to support expedient referral placement
  • Review and analyze referral data to identify clients' needs and ensure appropriate clinical services can be obtained
  • Provide summaries of psychological service provider network metrics for the QA Supervisor and Program Manager to identify potential issues and concerns
  • Assist in mental health education material development by researching mental health topics

  • Use knowledge of data analysis procedures to summarize, organize, and present data for further analysis and development of reports
  • Use good communication skills to connect with service providers and claims staff
  • Apply research techniques to conduct literature reviews
Your background and experience
  • A Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.Sc) in Psychology; and
  • A minimum of one year of recent (within the last three years) experience where you gathered statistical information to organize and summarize data for further analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of data analysis using Microsoft Excel to create graphs, pivot tables, charts and other report tools
