A local government health service in St. Thomas, Ontario, is seeking a dedicated Personal Support Worker to provide compassionate care to seniors in a long-term care facility. The successful candidate will assist residents with their daily needs and ensure a safe, supportive environment. Qualifications include a Secondary School Diploma and a Personal Support Worker Certificate. As a valued member of the nursing team, the Personal Support Worker, under the general direction of the Director of Care, and the technical direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor/Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), demonstrates a commitment to the provision of safe, efficient care to the personal needs of residents by assisting them to meet their emotional, social, cultural, spiritual and physical needs, in accordance with established policy and procedure, respective of the Resident Bill of Rights and Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 (or equivalent).
Remuneration: $30.73 - $31.65 per hour (2026 rates). This is a Unifor Local 27 position.
