The role involves assessing and monitoring patients, collaborating with a healthcare team, and providing education to patients and families. Your Opportunity:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides safe and effective nursing care according to hospital policies and nursing care standards within the hospital outpatient setting. Working to the full scope of practice, the LPN assesses, monitors, reports, provides appropriate interventions and documents changes in the patient's physical, mental, and emotional state. The LPN assists the patient as needed and provides the patient and family with relevant information and any teaching that may be required. The LPN is responsible to collaborate as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, delivering consistent quality care, to meet the needs of the patient. As part of a team, you will be working in all the clinic areas within Ambulatory Care. These include Endoscopy; Infusions; Minor surgery procedures; Dressing/Wound clinic; Stress Lab; and Visiting Specialist clinics (ENT and colposcopy); as well as assist in the Orthopedic Clinic

You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Recent 1 year experience in an Ambulatory Care Setting
