WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

The incumbent is a member of the frontline team. The Mixologist crafts exceptional guest experiences while fostering a culture of purpose and fun. This role oversees beverage service, curates' cocktail and wine lists across all Food and Beverage operations across the resort, and trains BMR bartenders to uphold 1858 and BMR standards.

  • Open and close 1858, completing required prep and opening duties and closing duties; setting up the following shift for success.
  • Process orders using the point-of-sale system, ensuring accuracy of cash out (proof of debit/credit transactions)
  • Train BMR bartenders and Caesaristas.
  • Maintain excellent product knowledge including regular inventory as well as special features to educate guests on offerings.
  • Maintain and create cocktail lists seasonally; required recipes for cocktails, as well as wine lists.
  • Complete accurate inventory and order/maintain par stocks and keep bar maintained with stock
  • Ensure compliance with smart serve and AGCO
  • Have the knowledge to prepare cocktails, pour draft, and demonstrate knowledge with food service
  • Is aware of and is compliant with the standards and tactics of the business unit as directed by their leaders through training and coaching.
  • Provide feedback to leadership that influences the planning for future seasons.
  • Understand departmental service standards, is receptive of training and communication to create revolutionary guest experiences and achieve departmental goals.
  • Skillfully use available resources, training and communication channels to achieve a highly productive, efficient environment with minimal downtime that produces high quality product(s) and service(s).
  • Participate in programming and complete training that unites employees around purpose and fun and therefore results in high employee satisfaction and engagement within their department.
  • Embrace and actively participates in a culture of teamwork between all employees that achieves the department's targets.
  • Participate in programming and training that ensures compliance with all legislated requirements and company policies and processes.
  • Participate in and adheres to all compulsory training provided, as mandated by government agencies pertaining to risk and safety.
  • Follow Crisis Management direction/plan, as designed by Crisis Committee and/or Risk Management Team.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Must have Smart Serve Certificate
  • Prior bartending experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Excellent customer service and communication Skills
  • Knowledge of working with POS systems
  • Reliable, punctual and professional in presentation
  • Mixology & WSET course completion considered an asset
